| After owning and enjoying her for some 8 years, I have reluctantly decided to put my Ed Monk Sr. conversion, 'New Rosa,' up for sale due to my wife's health problems. (We hope to purchase a boat with one main living level that will be easier for her to negotiate.) The boat was built in 1998 and is therefore almost new, as wooden boats go. The vessel is heavily built, very sea worthy, and quite efficient, consuming just 2 gph at 8 knots. I am asking $95,000 Canadian. According to what I was told by U.S. customs officials, the boat could be imported into the U.S. for a very small fee ($20), since she was built in California. | I am selling my 1965 custom built ex-commercial fishing vessel of carfel planked construction, having a raked stem, round bilges to a long keel and flat transom stern. The hull is a natural oil colored cedar with white decks and teal trim, the deck profile comprising a low trunk cabin forward followed by the wheelhouse, then the aft working deck with a small accommodation cabin set over the fish hold. Below decks is a V-berth in the forepeak followed by the wheelhouse with the main helm station, galley, dinette and enclosed head compartment. The machinery is installed below the wheelhouse sole. I am looking for a fast sale, first reasonable offer takes her away. I have a clean survey on her that was completed in May 09. | |||||

| The Micon was a commercial troller that I am converting for pleasure use. I am selling the Micon as I am on a pension that is not keeping pace with the cost of living and so the boat has to go. Specifications: Built by Matsomota in 1951; Diesel - Perkins 6-354, 120 HP; Length - 37 ft; Width - 9.5 ft; Wood construction - yellow cedar. The fishing gear has been removed and the cabin has been stipped. All rotten wood has been replaced with yellow cedar and the aft working deck has been lowered to the same level as the main deck. The hull has been cleaned, re-caulked and painted with anti-fouling. Also the plank ends have been refastened and the old fishing transponders removed. Mechanical work completed includes - 1). Steering gear above the rudder post repaired 2). Starter motor repaired 3). Engine pan has been replaced and the engine bearings visually inspected and found to be good. Surveys completed in 2003 and 2006. | |||||

| DEERE DIESEL 6068 (Prototype PowrTech) ENGINE naturally aspirated 105-130hp near new condition (used 488 hours as emissions test engine at U. of Wisconsin, Houghton campus 1996, then stored until purchased at auction, and not used since). Partially marinized recently with addition of Deere marine exhaust manifold with coolant header tank incorporated. Includes rebuilt starter and flywheel. Was being set up for keel cooling (no heat exchanger insert for exhaust manifold). Easy to complete conversion. This engine was slated for installation in Silver Star. Engine is currently in dry storage in Pasadena, California, fitted to a steel pallet bolted soundly to a heavy duty two-wheel trailer. $30.00 charge for delivery to any freight company in Los Angeles County. Delivery by road trip to Seattle a possibility. Also have Borg Warner adapter plate and flex plate and brand new Borg Warner 2:54:1 hydraulic transmission and 1.81:1 rebuilt Borg Warner transmission available separately. Call for pics by email.
