| Description | The Micon was a commercial troller that I am converting for pleasure use. I am selling the Micon as I am on a pension that is not keeping pace with the cost of living and so the boat has to go. Specifications: Built by Matsomota in 1951; Diesel - Perkins 6-354, 120 HP; Length - 37 ft; Width - 9.5 ft; Wood construction - yellow cedar. The fishing gear has been removed and the cabin has been stipped. All rotten wood has been replaced with yellow cedar and the aft working deck has been lowered to the same level as the main deck. The hull has been cleaned, re-caulked and painted with anti-fouling. Also the plank ends have been refastened and the old fishing transponders removed. Mechanical work completed includes - 1). Steering gear above the rudder post repaired 2). Starter motor repaired 3). Engine pan has been replaced and the engine bearings visually inspected and found to be good. Surveys completed in 2003 and 2006. | ||
