About Us:

The Westcoast Work Boat Association is a group of work boat enthusiasts who own or are interested in purchasing a work boat for pleasure cruising on the west coast.

British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest have a very rich work boat heritage and over the past century have attracted skilled and experienced shipwrights from Norway, Sweden, Finland, UK and Japan. Our coast is rugged and the weather can be very stormy at times. Work boats are designed to be sturdy and seaworthy which is one of the major reasons our members choose work boats over others.

Many of our member vessels are from the fishing industry (trollers, gillnetters and seiners) as well as tugboats, forestry & fishery boats and even a ferry.
